New year. New month. New Start. New lens.
For Christmas this year I gratefully
received a new Tamron camera lens. I have a Canon 550 D and with it I got two
lenses. Both of
them worked perfectly fine and I was really pleased with them, and I’d had them
a year come Christmas.
However, in the months running up to
Christmas I’d considered asking for a new lens, that’s would have the same
range as both of my canon lenses put together.
Lucky as I am, I did receive the lens I’d
longed for and Monday 6th January was a perfect day to test it out
and go for a nice walk around Hull with my dad.
So that’s what we did. He got a lovely new camera for Christmas too, so
it was win win all round!

Funnily enough ‘Blue Monday’ as it referred
to in the media, was a beautiful sunny day! There were plenty of clouds in the
sky and it was slightly overcast at times, which is perfect for taking
pictures. The blistering cold and gale-force winds were no biggie.

Dad drove us to the new bridge that has just
been build near the tidal barrier. We walked around the old town and the museum
quarter. I love that particular area of Hull because it’s so quiet and
peaceful, and it’s so nice seeing all the old building and it brings back so
many memories of being little!
